Saw this beauty last night, mmm... Met a friend of a friend who was slowly restoring this E-Type, and has been trying to get Petrolicious to cover the build, rear end is all prepped to paint. Car was orignally yellow, and was painted red a while back, and originally came from Texas and drove its way here, stopping in Wichita.

I’ve restored 5 or 6 of these. I’d like buy this man a beer-and upon cracking it open, give him a look that he knew I understand the work involved. I used to have a saying at the resto shop I was at: “Take all the nuts+ bolts + parts from 2 MG’s-thats how many pieces are in an Austin Healy 3000. Take all the pieces from 2 3000’s, thats how many parts are in an E.”

he’s almost done actually, started a couple years ago, needs a bit of things to be finished, like making new fuel and brake lines.

I was an 18 wheeler drive by with like 3 or 4 of those on the back along with a couple old porsches. They were all in pretty rough shape but still amazing cars
